80 Days. Early 1900’s Italian heirloom from Tuscany. Heavily ribbed shiny red dense meaty fruits with an excellent balance of high sugar & acid making it a full intensely flavored tomato. Ideal for sauce or making an unforgetable tomato sandwich. Indeterminate so use strong stakes for this variety! Does really well in our coastal climate. Will produce until frost takes them. Average fruit weighs 4oz.

How to germinate “Costoluto Fiorentino” tomato seeds:
80 days. Sow 5 mm deep. Opt. germ temp: 18-25 C. Days to germ: 5-10. Habitat: full sun; deep fertile well draining evenly moist soil. Big roots in mid May transplant bigger the harvest. Prune sparingly. Protect from rain; water at plant base never foliage except foliar feeds. Heavy feeder; use balanced organic fertilizer. Excess nitrogen= leaves no fruit; no calcium = blossom end rot; excessive heat = blossom drop. Deep flavor; vigorous; productive. Tall bush; Red Tuscan Heirloom. Luscious!
