Description

The Italian Stone Pine Nut has fed mankind for over 6000 years. Sweet edible oil rich nuts have found their way into many culinary dishes whether toasted, roasted, served raw or as pesto.   Very fast growing. Will produce nuts in Vancouver.  Needs well draining soils.  Doesn’t need much summer water once established.  If you can grow Arbutus , you can grow these.

Also known as Umbrella Pine for the final mature form it takes from pyramidal to a flat top branching which resembles am umbrella.
