How to germinate carrot seeds:
Germinates 12-14 days at 22C. Raised beds best. Sow 2 weeks before last frost & every 2 weeks for continuous summer harvest. Sow 5-9mm deep 4 cm apart (reduces need to thin) in deeply tilled well draining fertile soil. Baby carrots at 40 days with mature sized later. Floating row cover helps avoid insect problems & helps prevent soil crusting which prevent emerging tops break soil surface. Soil temps at 20C intensifies colour. Will set seed in its second year.
I have yet to try this method, but it looks do-able. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZo4GpjswhUfbclid=IwAR2jmjvha6uCZH25MuCIN5KTLClzWm5ZhZW8Ox7I4w1iZnMliPPQ9S8qaCY
