Description
90 days. Gray blue skin covers dense dark orange nutty dry silky smooth fiber-free flesh. Squash average 4-6 lbs. Very versatile for many dishes as tempura, pies, baked, steamed, etc. Small seed cavity. Of all the squash I’ve grown and tried, this my upmost favorite. Reliably ripens 2-3 weeks earlier than Waltham butternut. Healthy plants. Good keeper.
Harvest before heavy frost; when skin can’t be punctured with finger nail its ripe. Cut stems 4cm from fruit. Store at 10C at 50% humidity. Smooth silky nutty sweet orange flesh.
