Mother tree has complete resistance to EFB via “Gasaway” gene. Vigorous, short stature for easy collection, abundant pollen, large 13.4 gram kernels of excellent flavour and generous harvests. Its heritage includes large nut cultivars of excellent quality.: Greek ‘Extra Ghiaghli’ & ‘Tombul Ghiaghli’, Italian `Montebello’, ‘Tonda Gentile delle Langhe’, & ‘Tonda Romana’, Spain`s Barcelona’, and England`s `Daviana’. Thought went into the breeding program for vigorous disease resistant trees with large desirable nuts. Eta has incompatibility alleles S11 & S26. Both alleles are expressed in flowers and pollen.  Seed grown from an isolated grove of Jefferson (S1 & S3) & Theta (S8 & S26). Chances having the EFB resistant Gasaway gene is 75%. This grove`s seedlings will have superior genetics courtesy via parentage.
