How to germinate Viburnum trilobum seed:

We have not yet attempted to do a germination trial, so we are providing two methods from two different sources.  Regardless, this might need some well rewarded patience.
Method #1:  Soak  for 24 hours. Change water a couple of times.  Warm stratify for 90 days  then cold stratify for 60 days. Germination: sow seed 3/8″ deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed.
Method #2:  Soak seed in at least two changes of water.  Sow outside in Spring /early Summer for germination the following Spring.  Seed requires 180-510 days warm stratification followed by 60-120 days cold stratification.  Mulch bed to thwart weeds.
