How to germinate Clematis heraclefolia seeds:
Easy. Remove tails. Soak in warm water 12-24 hours. Prepare medium of equal parts moistened peat and sand; tamp firm. Sow and barely cover. Mist well. Cover with clear plastic dome or similar. Germinate at 20-25 C. You should see sprouts in 3-4 weeks, if not cold stratify for 30 days or so and give warmth again to initiate germination. You can do this in a baggie and remove sproutlets as they emerge and transplant accordingly.
