Description
A lovely medium sized fast growing tree with delicate fernlike pinnate leaves that give dappled shade in winter. In late Spring, dense clusters of honey scented white sweet pea-like flowers hang in loose clusters. Loved by nectar seekers as the tree is alive with hummingbirds at this time. Black Locust honey is one of the best too. Coarse tan coloured bark has an interesting spiral twist along its straight trunk. Blooms at a young age (3-5yrs). Nectar source for honeybees to create superior honey.
