Description
Pale pink tubular shaped flower gather in teired clusters between layers of purple-magenta coloured bracts on the stem tips. Blooms from June until frost in warmer climates or mid September in colder wetter climates of Zone 7. In Autumn, reddish berries ripen to a near black. Very edible and are usually taken by the birds before the kids can get them. Easy to grow. Flowers on new wood. Reaches 2m in height with nearly the equal spread. A subshrub in warm climates; perennial in colder (zone 7). Mulch in winter helps protect root crown)
