PNW terrestrial orchid.  Lovely purple stripes on a creamy white background. It possesses no chlorophyll so it relies entirely upon its symbiotic relationship with ectomychorrhial Russulaceae (

Though common throughout North America, its easy to overlook this knee high beauty that can have as many as 40 blooms on a stem.  Prefers dry open conifer forest with sparse underbrush of Mahonia and Gaultheria.

Seeds will be packed in a vial. Decant seeds using a natural bristle brush to place onto medium substrate.

How to germinate Corallorhizae orchids:

Seeds are like dust as the embryo has no cotyledons and must rely on symbiotoic Russulaceae mychorrhizae for nutrition.  I am seeking information from an orchid specialist on how to.  Stay tuned.
