Description
This gorgeous native orchid can make impressive colonies. Sweetly scented if you get down really low to sniff. Loved by bumblebees. Prefers open forest. Found growing with fellow mycorrhizae associated orchids such as Corallorhiza maculata (Spotted coral root) and Goodyera oblongifolia (Rattlesnake plantain).
In this link, the data sheet states that the “western form seems to be more aggressive, growing in denser colonies and been successfully cultivated for 1-2 years when carefully tended”
