Description
An extremely dramatic plant. In early spring, a mottled pinkish purple spike emerges to gradually unfurl leaves and a purple & green spathe and pure white mat textured spadix that is truly breath taking. Dark green leaves can be marked with silver. Doesn’t take up much space so its great for small and large gardens. Does well in containers. As with all Arisaema, plants are not committed to one gender and can switch genders annually.

How to germinate Arisaema sikokianum seeds:
Soak seed 12 hours. Baggie sow in moist fine milled peat moss. Give gentle warmth. Should start germinating in 10 days. Prick out and transplant and grow on under strong indirect light. Arisaema need good soil moisture late winter/early spring for proper flower development and pollination. Do not water while dormant. Protect from wet winter soils through adequate drainage or capping the dormant plants via water redirecting mulch. Gendered, but all Arisaema are known to switch genders yearly depending on growing conditions.
