How to germinate Hilds Ideal Brussels Sprouts seeds:
Start seed 4 weeks before last frost. Sow seed in deep cells placing only 3 seeds/cell as you will need to cull to one plant/cell to prevent root competition. Well draining moist medium is best. Sow 4mm deep. Mist seed into medium. Cover to preserve moisture and give gentle warmth. Will germinate in 4-6 days. Give strong indirect light as the seedlings break the soil surface. Don’t let seedlings dry out. Transplant out after threat of frost is past and preferably at the 3-4 true leaf stage. Space plants 55 cm part in soil amended with a well balanced low nitrogen fertilizer. Prefers a grow temp of 25C.
